Masterpieces of the Universe
A visual trip through the ages!  This is a great piece covering an exhibition that has more than 100 images of space from our very first images of the moon to today’s stunning views of the universe thanks to the Hubble Space Telescope.

Gas cloud to pass black hole….
A vast and hidden field of small black holes predicted to be near the centre of our galaxy could be revealed as a giant gas cloud passes.

Asteroid passes Earth
Radar images of asteroid 1998 QE2 was obtained on the evening of May 29, 2013, by NASA scientists using the 230-foot (70-meter) Deep Space Network antenna at Goldstone, California.  Images revealed that the asteroid has it’s own moon!

Rats on Mars?
In case of WTF? Eagle eye viewers and conspiracy theorists have spotted a ‘rat’ on Mars…

AAS Conference open to the public…
Well this is interesting. And kind of exciting. It would be more exciting if I lived in the US and not Australia! The American Astronomical Society will allow interested amateurs to attend it’s conference in Indianapolis for a small fee! It will be interesting to see how many people take up the offer.
